Stone is utterly fantastic too, and Take Your Shot is great. Even Between These Shadows, easily the weakest track, is still damn good. But Sorella Minore is just TOO good to not pick as favourite, even if you subtract the mandatory amount of score it gets for being the centrepiece.

Beautiful, melodic, and full of emotion. Amazing progressive metal. All the parts hit: blazing riffs, leads and solos, atmospheric and moody keys, and a solid rhythm section. "Are we bound for a better life?" "Did you ever tell me everything’s alright? I will fight now I’m free."

The album takes off nicely with David Longdon's "The Strangest Times", but then gets into immediate free fall and deeply underwater for the next few tracks, quite unexpectedly. Fortunately, it recovers with Nick D'Virgilio's "Apollo" (hey, this guy CAN write good music, although he hides this ability most of the time) and the remaining three tracks, one of which is another Longdon masterpiece. So in the end the final impression is somewhat in the positive range.
